Vanessa wasn’t just my girlfriend; she was my best friend. We had incredible sex, but she also listened to me. And not the fake listen that most women do, where I poured my feelings out and then they turned my words against me, or told me how my feelings affected them, or turned it around to make me feel like the bad person.

No, Vanessa listened and then gave me great advice. One of those sessions led me to quit the job that I hated. I walked in there and quit, just like Vanessa told me to do.

She told me not to worry about money anymore as she would take care of it. Somehow, Vanessa got a work-from-home job that paid her a lot of money. I guessed it was because she was made from the internet and other things that I couldn’t explain.

After all, I was driving a truck that hadn’t existed a few weeks ago. It didn’t even take gas; all I had to do was park it and leave it alone for a few hours, and boom, the gas gauge went back to full, even though there was no gas tank.

A lot of people asked me about my truck, as no one had seen or heard of the make or model before. I kept saying it was from overseas and cost me a bundle.

Everyone knew my house was already paid for, as well as all the taxes. So, they immediately thought I had money to burn.

I got a new job doing things I liked, and I actually enjoyed going to work now. I worked with my hands at a woodworking facility, building chairs, tables, and other things. It was hard work, but I loved it. It reminded me of working in the shed with my dad when he had free time. We work late into the night, building things for the neighbors who didn’t have money.

I was driving home when I remembered Vanessa was going to go to the track. She loved to exercise. When she first said she was going to go out in public by herself, I was scared. Scared that no one else would see her of if they did, she would say something or do something that would tip people off that she wasn’t a true woman, or even a human being.

But my fears were put away after the first time we went on a date together. Everyone could see her, and she talked about things and life experiences like a real person. She even danced at my boss’s birthday party with one of my coworkers.

In fact, the only problem I was facing with Vanessa was my neighbors; even though I lived out of the suburbs and in a rural area, I had a few neighbors. The problem was that they knew I had sold my car, and they never saw a truck get delivered. Just one day, poof, a brand-new truck came out of my garage.

Another thing they noticed was my furniture. One day, I had horrible furniture just piled up, ready to be put in the trash, and that same day, I had brand new, expensive furniture in my house, along with new patio and pool furniture.

Also, one of them commented that they hadn’t seen me at the grocery store. All these things were starting to add up in their minds. I couldn’t tell them that Vanessa was conjuring everything I needed out of thin air. Even food, which I had to say tasted much better than some of the things I bought at the store.

Vanessa stated it was because it was made from real ingredients, not the fake plastics and processed ingredients that companies put in their food.

When she made a lasagna one day from scratch, it was the best I had ever tasted, and that included one of my ex-girlfriend’s mom’s lasagnas, and she was a born and bred Italian.
