Something New Chapter One: Lost and Found

They wanted to try something new, but she found something else.

“Slow down, Ian!” I held onto the handle on my door as Ian swerved in and out of traffic. “The event lasts all night!”

Ian was excited. I could see it in his face as he got ready, and now he was practically speed-racing towards his destination.

“Sorry,” Ian apologized as he slowed down.

“Thank you,” I said as I relaxed.

“Just excited to try something new,” he grinned as he looked at me.

“Uh huh,” I muttered as I looked out the window.

Something new was going to a swinger’s event. We found out our new neighbors were swingers just a few weeks ago. Josh, the husband, kept staring at me one night over dinner. Later, his wife, Denise, told me that her husband wanted to sleep with me.

I was shocked when Denise told me that she wanted to go to bed with Ian. That’s what got us to start talking about sex life.

Since we got into our forties and the kids had become young adults and left the house, we realized our sex life was boring, dull, and very predictable.

We hadn’t noticed before because we were always doing things. I worked a full schedule at my job, plus the after-school events with the kids, and Ian worked as well. Plus, we had moved into a bigger house, so a lot was going on. He was always fixing things or rearranging them, and it was always something that got us away from each other.

I could time how long our intercourse lasted down to the millisecond. Ian would then turn over onto his side and be fast asleep within minutes, leaving me unsatisfied. Ian said I was a dead lay, that I just lied down and took it. He said it was like making love to a dead fish.

We had an argument that led to us not talking for a while, and that’s what led to tonight. We had nothing to lose. I didn’t want to sleep with Josh. He was a very big, very robust man who smelled like body odor every time he came over.

I knew Ian had no interest in Denise, as she was as thin as a matchstick. Ian liked curves, not the big women, just curvy, nice hips, and a waist. I always grinned and told him he was looking for Jessica Rabbit in the flesh, a woman with an hourglass figure and huge knockers.

Ian didn’t deny it was his perfect type.

That’s why we were coming to this event. It was in an old mansion with plenty of bedrooms and, better yet, plenty of swingers to choose from.

Our neighbors said we were starting too big and that we should go slowly into it. We knew what they meant; they wanted us to fuck them.

“Here we are,” Ian said.

“My god!” I stared out at the huge building. “It’s massive!”

“Yeah, it is,” Ian glared. His eyes were as big as saucers as he looked at all the people going inside.

We walked together towards the entrance, and the bouncers checked out papers and our identification.

We were in; there were hundreds of people. “I think they were right,” I said as I took off my coat. This may be too big to start out.”

I was starting to doubt this night. “You’re the one who found it,” Ian insisted. “Let’s just mingle and see where it takes us.”

I tried to be optimistic, but the sheer number of people here made me feel nervous. “Ian,” I said a little louder. I turned to look for him, but he was gone. “Ian!”

“Bastard!” I said as I reached for my phone. ‘Dammit!’ I thought as the coat person had taken out phones.

No photos were the rule. I was standing in the large room, all by myself. I looked around and couldn’t find him.

“Rebecca!” a voice shouted through the large crowd.

Through the thick crowd, I couldn’t see who called my name. “Rebecca, over here,” the voice said again.

“Charlie!” I exclaimed, finally seeing a familiar face.

The tall, dark-skinned man parted the crowd and made a beeline for me. “Thank God!” I said as he approached.

“What’s wrong?” Charlie asked.

I told him how my husband had abandoned me; he knew this was one of my worst fears. My parents abandoned me at the county fair. They took me to the fair, and we had a great time, but then they left without me. A nice young couple found me and adopted me; I found my original parents years later; they didn’t even apologize; they kept saying they were too young to have a child and other excuses.

“Come on,” Charlie said as he took me by the hand and led me out of the crowd and the noise.

“Thank you,” I said down in a quiet room. “I should have never agreed to this stupidity!”

“It’s okay,” Charlie soothed me as he rubbed my back.

Charlie was always good to me. He used to be my boss at another firm. He took me under his wing, taught me everything I knew, and always had a way of making things right.

“I am a mess!” I said as I wiped my eyes.

“No,” Charlie said in that deep voice. “Just scared, that’s all. We all have our fears.”

“Yeah, right,” I shook my head. “Like you fear anything!”

“Sharks,” Charlie grinned. “I can’t stand them, can’t even watch shark week.”

I laughed. That was Charlie. Even when he was my boss, he always had a way of making me smile.

We sat in that quiet room for hours. Charlie told me he was divorced, had left the business world, and now owned his own security firm, which was why he was here. He was the head of security.

Once in a while, he had to talk to someone through the earbuds in his ear, but he never left me. He told me about his divorce. I told him about everything and the lack of good sex, which he laughed about; he didn’t judge me for looking like this; I felt like an expensive whore in this dress.

I never showed this much cleavage, and I didn’t like the dress as it had a slit from my ankles straight up to my hip. With every move I made, I showed more of my pale white legs.

“Found him,” Charlie stood up and took my hand. “He just left one of the upstairs rooms with a redhead.”

“Damn him!” I exclaimed as Charlie led me back out into the crowd.

I saw Ian across the large room with a busty young redhead with huge fake implants; she looked like she was about to fly away into the air with those helium balloons bolted onto her chest.

“You might be careful with him,” Charlie whispered. “That’s not one of our regulars.”

“What do you mean?” I asked. I was naïve to this whole thing.

“Some of how should I say this, the ladies of the night, come in and mingle with the others to get men to pay for their skills. She is one of them.”

“Oh!” I stared at her. She thanked him and then walked away.

That’s when Ian started looking for me.

“Follow my lead,” I grinned as I walked towards Ian, not close, but so that I could get within his sight.

I turned to Charlie and tip-toed; even with me tip-toeing, Charlie had to bend down so he could kiss me.

‘Damn, he is good!’ I thought as he kissed me.

Then, his large hands gripped me tight. His hands went around my back and grabbed my ass hard. He grabbed me by the ass so hard I was practically off my feet.

“Rebecca?” Ian asked.

“Oh, there you are!” I said, wiping my mouth. “Sorry, I got caught up.”

Ian eyed Charlie with a look that could kill; he had always been jealous of my friendship with Charlie.

“Look who I met,” I grinned as I held Charlie’s hand.

“I see,” Ian said in that low tone.

“I had a great night,” I turned to Charlie. “We should do it again and soon.”

“You have my number,” Charlie grinned.

“I do?” I asked, not remembering taking his number.

Charlie pointed to my chest. I put my fingers down my cleavage. ‘Damn, he is good!’ I thought, taking out a business card from deep between my tits. “You rascal!” I laughed.

Ian grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room. He was nearly running.

“Ian!” I pulled my hand away from him. “I won’t be pulled along like some rag doll!”

“What were you doing with him?” Ian stormed out of the building and toward the parking lot.

“The same thing you were doing with her!” I yelled, pointing to the bottle, redhead hand in hand with another man.

“Get in the car Becca!” Ian yelled.

I grinned as I slowly walked to the passenger seat. I waved at Charlie, who was by the entrance.
